Context: The coronation of King Ferdinand I and Queen Mary were held on October 15th 1922. For the smooth operation of the ceremony Alexandru Averescu appointed the Central Commission of the Coronation led by General Constantin Coandă, president of the Senate, and with B. Murgulescu as secretary general. The commission included Nicolae Titulescu, Octavian Goga, Constantin Nanu, Nicolae Mişu, General Paul Angelescu, Elie Miron Cristea and a series of experts: historians, painters, architects: N. Iorga, Alexandru Lapedatu, George Enescu, Costin Petrescu, Arthur Verona, and Victor G. Ştefănescu.
